In the notification settings of you sensor you can specify at which voltage do you want to get the low and critical battery warning. We usually define the critical voltage as the voltage at which the battery is not safe for recharging (possible short circuit of one or more voltage cells). The low battery voltage is the voltage at which you want to be informed to recharge your batteries. We recommend setting this value to 12.4V / 24.8V when your boat docked in the marina for longer time.

Advanced settings

In the advanced settings you can configure additional parameter specific for your batteries, as follows:

We use the Charging start voltage to determine when the charging has started. This voltage may differ from charger to charger. Whenever the measured voltage exceeds the charging voltage, you will get the charging notification, whenever it goes below Charging end voltage, you will get a charging finished notification.

The sensor is measuring the battery temperature as well, so you will be warned whenever the temperature exceeds the 50°C. The temperature is measured every 5min, so do not expect to get instant reading.

We recommend to turn off the Charging notifications during the navigation/sailing to prevent a message every time the engine is turned on/off.
